Creative Narrative
I was born in England four decades ago to a small family arising from other small families. My childhood was not easy. I was given much space, but it was not a happy freedom. I blossomed imaginatively, but inwardly. And certain events set me up to resist guidance on how to form myself or those creative stirrings.
Home and education made me feel that I was not even a tiny cog in the larger machine.
I have struggled for four decades confined by that mould - to prise myself away from it.
Vaguely, I recall occasional expressions of the dreams of significant adults. Long cherished fragments of who they might have become – held secretly. Like so many dreams - un-fulfilled.
Now I can see how the disatisfaction so many of us have is rooted in un-answered dreams.
We find ways to explain why we have not answered our dreams - the hopes of childhood. Apparently, they were not adult, practical, mature, do-able…
We believed that someone elses dream was more possible, ‘better’ for us…
Maturing has taught me which is more satisfying, which fulfills the deeper need. Not following someone elses dream, but working for your own to exist…
This site is one place for my dreams to become reality…
